Privacy Policy for RHTS

This Privacy Policy describes how the RHTS Chrome Extension accesses, processes, and stores data. By installing and using this extension, you agree to this policy. Please note: This extension operates locally on your device. We do not collect, harvest, transmit, or store your RaterHub evaluation data or browsing history on external servers.

1. Data Access (Local Only)

RHTS is designed to provide Quality of Life improvements for evaluators while maintaining a zero-footprint environment. To function correctly, the extension needs to locally access and read:

User Settings and Preferences: Such as your defined alert settings, timer modes, and subscription status. These are read directly from your local browser storage.
Browsing Context on raterhub.com: The extension reads elements and page states strictly on https://*.raterhub.com/evaluation/* (and related domains) to detect task availability and execute keyboard macros as per your configuration. This reading happens entirely within your browser and is never transmitted to us or any third party.

We do not access personal identification information (names, physical addresses), passwords, or browsing history outside of the specified evaluation domains.

2. Data Processing

All operations regarding your work and data processing occur strictly locally on your device (within your browser). The extension processes the page's HTML elements locally to:

Monitor active task timers invisibly.
Execute background keyboard macros based on your configured limits.
Play local notification sounds when tasks are available or timers are met.
Trigger external webhook notifications (Discord/Telegram) if explicitly configured by the user.

No background remote processing servers, analytics tools, DOM injections, or AI services are used to analyze your evaluation data.

3. Data Storage

All necessary data to run the extension (your settings and active task memory) is stored locally on your device using the Chrome browser's local storage API (chrome.storage.local).

We do not use remote servers, cloud databases, or any external services to store your personal user preferences or task data.
If you uninstall the extension or clear your browser data, this stored data will be permanently deleted from your device.

4. Data Sharing & Third-Party Services

Because we do not harvest or collect any of your work data on our end, we cannot and do not sell, trade, rent, or share any of your evaluation information with third parties for commercial, advertising, or any other purposes.

The only external network requests made by the extension occur strictly under the following circumstances:

Webhooks to Third-Party Services (Telegram / Discord): If you manually configure the extension to send notifications via Telegram or Discord, the extension will send a payload (containing task notification context) directly from your browser to the API endpoints you provided (https://api.telegram.org/* or https://discord.com/api/webhooks/*).
Payment Verification (ExtensionPay & Stripe): We use a trusted third-party service, ExtensionPay (powered by Stripe), to manage premium subscriptions. When you initiate or verify a subscription, the extension communicates securely with https://extensionpay.com/* to check your premium status based on your email address. ExtensionPay handles your login and payment information directly. The extension only stores a secure local token to verify your access. No browsing data or evaluation context is ever sent to ExtensionPay.

No other external network requests or analytics trackers are used.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your locally stored settings for as long as the extension is installed on your device. All data is deleted immediately and permanently when you uninstall the extension or manually clear your browser's local storage/cache.

6. Data Security

We prioritize the security of your information. Since all evaluation data is stored locally within the Chrome storage environment, it benefits from the standard security sandboxing provided by Google Chrome. We recommend keeping your browser updated to ensure the latest security patches are active.

7. User Rights and Choices

You have full control over your data. You can view, modify, or delete your settings directly through the extension's interface or your browser settings. As no evaluation data is sent to our servers, you do not need to contact us to exercise your right to access or delete your data.

8. Children's Privacy

The RHTS extension does not knowingly collect or solicit any information from children under the age of 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
